iRacing Ford Mustang GT4 Guide
The Ford Mustang GT4 is an entry-level GT car in iRacing. It runs in the GT4 Falken Tyre Challenge and Falken Tyre Sports Car Challenge (with LMP3). Built around a 5.0-litre Coyote V8 and Multimatic DSSV dampers, it relies on mechanical grip more than downforce.
Car Characteristics
- Engine: 5.0 L Coyote V8 (Ford Performance). Strong torque
- Drive: Rear-wheel drive. Manage throttle on exit
- Aero: GT4 aero package. Less downforce than GT3—tyre and mechanical grip matter
- Assists: ABS. No TC in many setups—smooth throttle is key

Driving Tips
- Braking: Stable under braking. Use full track width on entry where safe
- Exit: Progressive throttle. The V8 can break traction if you rush
- Setup: In open series, focus on rear stability and brake bias for your style
